With more than 30 years’ experience in hospitality management, Kurth has an award-winning record in the luxury hospitality market and a history of delivering outstanding service. He has extensive experience in assembling outstanding teams, strategic planning, and coordinating multi-million-dollar projects and counts communication, collaboration, and creativity as key strengths. Joe has a demonstrated pattern of excellence specific to the Midwest region including his leadership roles with Notre Dame’s Morris Inn, Milwaukee’s Pfister Hotel and Kohler’s American Club.

Tom McGinty
Executive Chef
Chef Tom has dedicated his entire professional career working in the food and hospitality industry. His over 35 years experience has included almost every position in the restaurant world, from busboy to Executive Chef to Food & Beverage Director, from casual dining restaurants to 5-Star luxury resorts & just about everywhere in between. From 2004 -2014, Tom owned and operated a culinary services company based in Chicago, Illinois specializing in culinary education, menu development, and food innovation consulting. The company, Soigne Culinary Artistry, was the creative resource to numerous recipe development and consumer product innovation projects focused on trends for industry-leading food and beverage manufacturers. Prior to joining the MAC, Tom spent 5 years as the Director of the Food and Beverage and Executive Chef at Destination Kohler, the Midwest’s only Forbes 5 Star and AAA 5 Diamond resort.

THOMAS HUGHES
Director of Membership & Events
Thomas has over a decade of experience in luxury hospitality management. He began his career in fine dining in New Orleans as a server, sommelier, and Maitre d'. He then spent two years in project management and consulting, opening diverse array of boutique fine dining concepts in Monterey, Nashville, and Denver. Thomas moved back to Milwaukee in 2019 to be closer to family, he has worked in private club management ever since. As leader of our Membership and Events department, he is committed to fostering an active Club culture driven by a growing and engaged membership.

KLAE SCOTT
Director of Athletics
Klae’s connection with fitness and wellness started as a child. Klae has been changing lives for 20+ years. He decided to make his passion for people and fitness a career. He pours his heart and energy into the goal of sharing his knowledge with his clients. Klae has an energy that creates excitement and drive for those around him. He has won bodybuilding and power lifting competitions along with a national title in semipro football. Klae formally entered the fitness and nutrition space by continuing his education. Meanwhile, he founded Life Per4mance Company where he teamed up with the Milwaukee Children’s Hospital to help change the lives of youth and educate them on how to set a lifelong course for wellness.

Kristen Uribe
Fitness Manager
A massage therapist by trait, Kristen is a multi-disciplinary of all things athletic, holistic and balanced. Kristen has been part of the Milwaukee wellness community for over a decade, beginning as a yoga and meditation instructor. She began her journey at the MAC as a massage therapist in March of 2022. She brings an abundance of energy as well as a user-experience approach to problem solving as a manager at the MAC. Outside of professional health and wellness space, she also enjoys modern foraging, making flans for a local Milwaukee restaurant and marrying couples in Milwaukee.

Steph is an events professional with 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She is skilled in event planning and management and sales. Steph previously worked for Marcus Hotels & Resorts as an Event Manager at the Hilton Milwaukee City Center and The Pfister Hotel. Most recently she worked as a Sales & Catering Manager for Bartolotta Catering and Events at Discovery World. Steph is a member of TEMPO’s Emerging Women Leaders and the Junior League of Milwaukee.

BETSIE ANDERSON
Senior Staff Accountant
Betsie was born, raised, and graduated high school in Irvine, California. She has Associates Degrees in Graphic/Web design, and Computer Programming. She was the Chapter President for the college honor society – Phi Theta Kappa. Betsie also has a Bachelor’s Degree in MIS with an emphasis in Accounting and Business Management. Her future goal is to become a Financial Controller or Chief Financial Officer. She is passionate about community involvement and her hobbies include off roading, dirt bikes, and playing guitar.

BRAD SCHENDEL
Director of Member Services
Brad started at the MAC in 1977 as a Locker Room Attendant, later being promoted into many other positions. Brad has always loved and participated in sports. Working at the MAC was the perfect job while he attended college. It wasn’t intended to be his permanent job, but as he started to work my way up the ladder and made many friends it turned into his lifelong career. The MAC has provided the opportunity for him to lead and attend many functions and events throughout the years. He has led close to 100 Packer games, over 150 Badger games and dozens of Brewer games both home and away. He has also taken groups to the PGA Championship and in 2017 captained the 10th hole with MAC members at the US Open. Brad has coordinated many MAC events, including most of our traditional events, specialty dinners, women’s events, family events and boxing night.

IAN ABSTON
MAC Ambassador
Ian Abston joins us as the MAC Ambassador and 15 year member of the club. Abston's passion is connecting top level talent around the region to help push Milwaukee forward. He is the president of the Hoan Group and Founder of Forward 48, a talent pipeline connecting young leaders around the state. Abston is the Co Founder of Light the Hoan, helping illuminate the iconic Hoan bridge through a $4MM community oriented fundraising campaign. He proudly sits on the board of Joy Engine, Wisconsin Policy Forum, Greater Milwaukee Committee, and the Urban Ecology Center. Ian is the Founder of NEWaukee which created the Night Market and other community programs before exiting in 2015, helped launch Echelon, a service based YP arm of the Salvation Army, and received his undergraduate from UW Oshkosh and is a proud Eagle Scout. #Bucksin6

Tim Prendergast
Director of Food & Beverage
Tim is a graduate of Marquette University with a passion for all things beverage. Before moving back to Milwaukee, he spent 10 years in Food & Beverage in Washington, D.C. including starting two bar/restaurants one of which was Michelin Guide recognized, founding the cider brand ANXO, lecturing on ciders of Northern Spain at the Smithsonian Institute, and being named Thrillist top bartender in Washington, D.C. in 2016. He was the first Certified Cicerone in Washington, D.C., and also holds certifications as a BJCP Certified Beer Judge, a Certified Sherry Specialist, BarSmarts Certification, and Micromatic Draft Dispense Specialist. When not at work, his passions are baseball, collecting obscure rum, German wine, and 60’s-80’s Volkswagens.

Grant Robydek
Chef de Cuisine
Grant attended culinary training at Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago IL, graduated 2006 and worked at Red Light for 2 years. He moved to Milwaukee in 2007 as Executive chef of Northstar American Bistro in Shorewood and Brookfield, also helped build Northstar catering. He started at Milwaukee Ale House to rebrand the company. Hired at the Bavarian Bierhaus in 2016 for grand re-opening, awarded #6 best brewpub in the USA for food and beverage at the Explorium Brewpub in 2019. Grant began employment with the MAC in the summer of 2020.

SHARECA THOMPSON
Sous Chef
Shareca attended MATC, where she was able to grasp knowledge within the Hospitality & Food Service Industry. She started her career at the Milwaukee Center for Independence, later working for retirement communities learning about dietary needs and food regulations. During these experiences, she was able to participate in recipe development, menu planning and catering events. Later, she became a Banquet Chef for HeartLove Place - a non profit organization. Prior to her career at the MAC, Shareca was a Catering Supervisor at the UWM Restaurant Operations, as well as a Catering Supervisor for Levy at Fisver Forum.

Matthew joined the MAC in 2021, bringing 17 years of culinary experience. Previously, he worked at Odd Duck as a Cef de Crusine, Dan Dan as a Sous Chef, and Fox Town as a Sous Chef. Matt brings a focus on globally inspired crusine.

Racheal is an event professional with 10 years of experience in the hospitality industry. She is skilled in event planning, management, and sales. Marcus Brewer
Senior Banquet Manager
Marcus has been at the MAC since Feb of 2022. Marcus has been in the food and beverage industry for over 20 years. Before the MAC, he was the General Manager of Central Standard Crafthouse and Kitchen. Most of his time was with Texas Roadhouse all over Wisconsin for 20 years. In his free time, Marcus loves all things Chicago. He loves baseball, specifically the Cubs, live music and a nice glass of bourbon or red wine.

Mark Greaves
Food & Beverage Manager
Mark came to the MAC in 2022 after spending 4 years in various roles at a country club. He found his love for hospitality behind the bar, and loves learning about cocktails. By building relationships with members, Mark looks to create a personalized, detail-oriented service experience. As an Eagle Scout, he enjoys the outdoors and remains involved with Scouting as a leader. Mark is excited to learn and grow in his career at the MAC.
